A downloadable game for Windows

A relaxing incremental mining game.  Made as an exercise to learn some Godot. Numbers go up, dopamine comes out.

really good game man, surprisingly polished (and silly) for how small it is.

could we get a linux build pls ? it's aonly a button away in the engine :3

A nice short and sweet game!

hey i made a video about how Gold Digger can get more views on youtube.

hey i ranked your game and 19 others here:

Thank you, appreciate the listing!

of course!

Better than Starfield imo. Played for about 2 hours straight, beat the game. One of the best gaming experiences in recent memory.

The only thing that could make it better would be frogs with baseball bats...

this game shits on core defender (no disrespect) great work I loved it

Don't know that game, but glad to hear you liked mine!

Why does esc insta-kill? I have lost thousands from reflexively trying to pause/open a menu (that does not exist here)

well... I only added low fuel killing the player right at the end of the jam... sorry :)

I understand the low fuel killing, I am saying hitting the "esc" key instantly kills you and has caused me to accidentally lose alot of progress. 99% of games have an options menu open when "esc" is hit so when I need to quickly focus on something else (fiance trying to get my attention) I reflexively try to pause whatever I am doing and that killed me multiple times. For "reset" keys it's best to use uncommon keys "k" is usually a good one.

It was short, and fun!

Suggestions: Make the border tiles indestructible, and have a more consistent traversal option (like a weak jumppack) to make moving back and forth a smoother experience.

That being said, the transfer objects are a great mechanic. I initially used them to send ores from a distance, but eventually used them to just carry myself there.

The idea is that you use the recoil from the beam as a jetpack! I've seen a few people not get that so will add it to the tutorial if I work on this again.

Oh believe me, I did that and had a lot of fun with it! It can't be used reliably to traverse small distances or to move diagonally. Spamming the jump button is viable, but it's not as smooth as a weak jumppack would be. It's a very minor issue, all things considered.

One bigger issue I found was that my beam ended up so powerful that I punched through the bottom of the level, fell into the void, and couldn't get back up.

really like this so far. only have $1560 but will play some more tomorrow. liked the digging aspect and the 2 bars for inv and fuel.

also i make YT videos about itch games like this one:

do you want your game reviewed in my next video???

Glad to hear you like it! don't forget to spend that gold and upgrade!

was a nice game, played through it in one go.

only thing i might have liked would have been to have a jetpackr something (or being able to purchase one and purchase fuel ´levels for it or such) since the basic jump jsut doesnt do it after a point. and once you have destroyed an area of block, getting back up gets difficult.
i hadnt even explored and cleared half the map by the end

You can use the recoil of the beam as a movement aid!

nice

That was really fun! I dug to the bottom of the cave and fell under the map but otherwise no issues lol

yeah,, i managed to get out on the sides (just wanted to dig blocks on the very right border and of course fell of, into the void to the east.
