Played this last night, was great fun, Thank you for the demo! I can't wait till full version, the combat is the best on the vive that I have tried! It really feels like your getting hammered. My giant flail dissapeared in training but no bother, I just used a a corpse to beat my opponent to death! Great stuff! I'd love to do some free of charge voice acting if you want! :) can't wait to try the beta!

I always upload my builds without running them on my PC, so it should be fine, but I can't guarantee it. If there is one, either no-one has scanned it or noone has reported it.
I have done a full scan on both Gorn Data and Gorn Itself and they are both fine. What I have came to find is that most popular Itch.io games don't have viruse on them.

I just tried this on my Rift and jesus is this fun. But I really hope there will be a native rift sdk version, because even though it works through steamvr, my height is for some reason Always wrong. In this game I am too big, in onward I'm too small..
So I couldn't grab the arrows when I had to use the bow, which kinda ended my game. But seriously, the potential in this game is tremendious..IF u get this working with flawless 1 vs 1 multiplayer or coop multiplayer..this could become the next VR sport :p
Although 1v1 Multiplayer would be cool I would be incredibly surprised if they added it. Its kind of just confusing to even begin to imagine how it would work if it were pvp although co op could work. I THINK with a capital THINK they said they were not going to add multiplayer.

Go into a lobby, select 1 vs 1, perhaps both players get the option to choose how big their playspace is , cause some people might not reach the other if they have less roomscale then the other, or some "get close to each other technique" which might be implemented in later on.
All that's left is just each person controlling one character until the other dies ^=
What would happen if you got knocked out (Not killed) You cant look around because that would make no sense if your character was meant to be knocked out, and you cant just see a black screen because a lot of people will think its crashed and probably tell the dev it crashed, And dont get me started on how the physics would work when they were hit hard enough.

Does this demo work for Oculus Rift? I downloaded and put the folder in the Rift Software folder. I can run the executable outside of Rift, but it only shows up on my computer screen and not in the Rift.

I would like to bring notice to a bug that has affected multiple people who have downloaded the updated demo version. Most of the people I have shared this game with have said that upon starting the game, they encounter a grey screen, and only hear for about a split second, what sounds like an elevator rumbling. It then mutes, and the game freezes. It is creating crashlogs, so I would be happy to email them to you once you get back to me.
It seemed like it, but some of the people I have sent the game to have been playing since the post was updated, I have been trying to figure out why it works for them in my free time. Hopefully the creator can get back to us on this. There aren't that many great games on the vive
Thank you, I had forgotten to sign up for the mailing group, so i had been playing the old version for weeks, the people I had referred the game to had to remind me to install the new updated version. It sadly doesn't work for me, but im sure its just a simple glitch, since it works for some of my friends, and for some it doesn't. Ill be looking forward to it being fixed. Thanks again!
Yes, it runs about a 75/25 for playability, with only some not being able to play, some simple fixes like restarting the headset, updating cameras, and restarting computer can help with the issue, but for some it just does not launch.
Dear raithza, First off I want to thank you for making such an awesome game! Second I would like to ask you to put up an other version of the game. I know it make seem weird but the version with the grey hands, square arena and infinite grab really suited my style of stress relief. This is just a suggestion but I think I speak for everyone when I say I would like the ability to control a enemy on the computer ( I mean the same computer the VR user is using not over the internet ) And you could swing up with Right Click And Swing Sideways With Left Click and move with WASD or Arrow Keys, Also the non VR user could have a little shop too so they could also buy weapons. Ps. The reason I want this is so my brother can join me. and so other gorn players can share the fun
I knew this was too good to be true, a great free VR game that works. When I open it nothing happens, sound is playing but it is unresponsive. Anyone else that has this problem
Today I finally got round to checking out Gorn and boy-oh-boy, is it fun! It's a little ironic though, that the best weapon in the game is actually the corpse of your enemy lol.
I will definitely be buying the early access version as soon as it is available. I must admit I really want the latest version all the time but will make do with this till its ready for sale. Keep up the good work! PS - if you release on the Unity asset store just the bits for weapon blocking and bending (just the basic weapon physics) I bet that will sell well and others can make their sword fighting games more realistic as well.

That wasn't the case - I'd deleted everything from my previous project as I had the idea to use your game. Now I have Nothing - assignment needs to be on Monday.

You clearly don't understand how these things work, As long as credibility is given to the original creator then It's perfectly acceptable to use someone else's content / creations. And Timonk, everything you've ever used in school, work, house etc.. is created by another person. So, you using a pen in order to write at school falls under the same category, you are using a pen (that was not created by you) to take notes, AND to write your essays to get a good grade. You are in no position to tell anyone about using someone else's content 'for a good not' as you're doing the exact same thing.

It may seem like I'm lying. I Assure I'm not. Also by 'school' I mean 'University', so we are all adults and its perfectly acceptable as, they are not naked, they have a loin cloth and the Gore isn't an issue either no-one at the university is going to loose there head over a small amount of blood.
My project is to show the technological advancements that have taken place in the last 50 years, how things have evolved, if you will. Each person in my class has been assigned a different piece of technology to look into, mine? VR. Now that I have restarted I have selected a number of VR titles which include but are not limited to; Arizona Sunshine, Onward, Raw Data and hopefully GORN. Why do I need to use the new version of GORN you ask? Well, I want to show how a game can change so dramatically in such a short period of time, with only 1 person steering the games ship, in other words. Only 1 developer.
Now, you can choose to believe me or you can choose to do otherwise. Either way, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

why cant you just add the store in i know your lazy but it isnt far for thos who didnt get the chance to get the their hands on the closed beta

you may have opened it up wrong or just keep trying, it always gets a grey screen to start off with, just try to restart

It could just go into 3rd person view, same as when you get knocked out in Drunken Bar Fight.
Although that is a good idea I still don't think he will add it as he has said (I think)

How do you get to the version with the elevator?
So, sorry if this has been said before, but about how long until the closed beta becomes open? The shop aspect seems really interesting to me!
He ran out of Beta keys and updated the public demo, it's like the closed beta but with some changes
The only reason I wanted the update was for the shop the one thing the public demo and the closed beta didn't have in common
