So I see an email from itch that says GORN was updated and I'm like "oh wow, that's cool" then I look here and see closed beta. I NEED IN! lol, I thought this game was ready for prime time with it's initial release. Then the spears and hammers came out and were a blast, seeing it only just now calling itself closed beta is exciting, because that means there is much more planned, and I love it!

Hey Raithza, my dad was working with one of the people that I guess.. built or own the company that produces the htc vive..I guess? they have something to do with it. And we managed to be able to beta test the htc vive for them, for free. They supplied us with a computer and the vive, and some games they want us to test. Because of this, I was wondering if I would be able to play the closed beta as a test. I grabbed a guy by the chest with my left hand and brought my right down on his head over and over until there was nothing left but a bloody stump. I became disgusted and horrified, I dropped his now-lifeless body to the ground and raised my bloody fists in victory and shame.
I've had this game since Christmas and it is still probably my favorite VR. I know you were shooting to get this into early access by around February, is that still a realistic goal? Super excited for more content to come to this game
Love this game! Despite only being a demo it's brilliant. The over the top cartoon levels of gore and dismemberment are hilarious.
It would be nice to have a stabby sword like a gladius as well as a slashy one. If it makes things too easy then maybe shorten it like a dagger. Dual wielding swords is probably my favourite mode.
An axe could also be interesting but I dont know how you'd make it different. Maybe it gets stuck in the enemy's head.
Lastly, and this is a bit silly, but after a decapitation. Could the headless body run around flailing like a chicken for a bit.. assuming its still got legs. Or the detached head could have eyes that follow you.. possibly with animated eyebrows doing an angry face (\/) or surprised face (/\) darting left and right in a "wtf?!" kind of way.

Right above the comments section, there is a button labeled, "Download". Then, say that you want to save and open folder. There should be two things in that folder, Gorn (Application) and Gorn Data. Put those two in your desktop and click the (I think it is Unity) logo that says GORN under it. Your game should start from there.
About 1/3 of my play area is behind the back wall in the game. Is there any way to adjust where the play area is in the arena? I just want to scoot it forward some.
Just wanted to say that even months later GORN is still one of my all-time favourites. My business was down at a local LAN in Perth, WA and doing some live mixed-reality demo's and I thought I'd throw GORN on to see how it fared with a static camera.
Works great and I can't wait to get some better quality lighting so we can make the player less transparent, will for sure be doing more in the future. Thanks for the awesome experience.
That's great! The build you are using is also quite a bit older than the current build, you might want to redownload for better physics/graphics/combat/everything :)
PLEASE add enemies with bows! Besides this the only problem with the game is you can't skip the tutorial and this game makes me so sweaty after. HTC Vives should have cooling systems.
Had the vive since christmas and this is still my go-to "fun" game. Love the ideas for progression, any thoughts of a "style" points type system for more elegant takedowns? Oh and yes I also broke a light fitting playing :-)
